Cholesterol
I have been working on my cholesterol for about a year now. On the positive side it has maintained very consistent. On the not so great side it is just slightly above where it should be. It’s just like a fraction of a point.
The best it ever really was, was when I was about 10lbs light. I felt better then and I felt stronger. So I guess I know what I have to do- yet again. Time to cut out all the chips and snack foods. I’ve had a tough month at it. Everything seemed to just sit at the same level. Whether I worked really hard at it or not.
I’ll give myself a chance to catch up from my holidays and then I’ll give it all I got next month.
Also. Here is what the Internet says about Cholesterol. Just in case you weren’t sure.
Cholesterol is a waxy substance found in every cell of the body and is essential for the production of hormones, vitamin D, and bile acids that help digest fat. It is carried through the bloodstream by lipoproteins, primarily low-density lipoprotein (LDL) and high-density lipoprotein (HDL). While cholesterol is necessary for various bodily functions, excessive levels of LDL cholesterol can lead to a buildup of plaque in the arteries, increasing the risk of heart disease and stroke. Maintaining healthy cholesterol levels is particularly important for women over 40, as hormonal changes can impact lipid levels and cardiovascular health. Regular check-ups, a balanced diet, and physical activity are vital for managing cholesterol and promoting overall well-being.
