Walking on Holidays

I have been away on a bit of a holiday. Each day I walked roughly 10,000 steps. My feet felt tired and my limbs kind of ached. I am afraid I am old now. My friend also noticed how everything aches at this age. It was great to be out and about in a city that had no snow. It gave me a little bit of hope that soon I can also be walking in my neighbourhood and stretching my tired old legs.

On the food side of things I ate lots of great treats, I kept it fairly healthy- Advocado toast, oatmeal and lots of teas were in the mix. My treats were a bubble waffle, a few bites of donuts, mochi and some truffle fries. The bigger meals were sushi, hotpot and dim sum. It was a fantastic treat trip! All the while I managed my portions and looked for volume for veggies when I could.

I feel pretty satisfied with how I handled that 4 day holiday. I won’t weigh in until I feel like the salt and water has left my body. I am pretty certain the walking offset what I ate. But I’ll give it an hot minute before stepping on that scale.
